Morten Thorvaldsen is the Executive Vice President of Thon Hotels, a position he has held for more than 35 years. He is also a Vice President of NHO Reiseliv, Vice President of HOTREC, as well as a Board Member of Visit Oslo. Thorvaldsen has received the Hospitality industry's honorary award (Horecabransjens ærespris) and the Grand Travel Awards' honorary award. Morten Thorvaldsen has been, and still is, instrumental in Thon Hotels’ continuous growth from the very beginning to today. Thon Hotels is one of Norway’s leading hotel chains consisting of more than 90 hotels in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Brussels, and Rotterdam, more than 1.2 million people hold memberships in the THON+ customer loyalty program, and in 2025 Thon Hotels will open its first own hotel in Stockholm, Thon Hotel Vasa.
